Okay, it's done. For those interested (HA!), please go to http://www.xanga.com/achensherd to continue your timely dosage of vague emotional mopes, vicious rants, and yawn-inducing outbursts. Thank you. -Allen C.

Okay, I'm closing this down. For those interested, my new xanga is here.

Don't bother going to http://shardsofeden.com yet... nothing's up, and nothing will be up until I come up with something to put on it.

Take care everyone.

S'ayapo.

Doesn't it just feel good after reformatting your computer (assuming something disastrous such as a hard drive-wiping computer virus was not the reason for the reformat)? Everything is reverted back to when you first got your computer and everything works (OEMs aside). If you have Windows 95-ME, you're greeted by a gray taskbar and the usual My Computer, My Documents, and Recycle Bin. If you're using Windows XP, you're greeted by the Fisher-Price blue-green taskbar and any variation of desktop icons (clean installs just have the Recycle Bin, last I tried). The Programs menu is relatively empty (retail computers aside), there is next to nothing in My Documents. The computer is just there, ready for the user to install software and make all sorts of customizations to suit him/herself and his/her endeavors.

Anyway, I reformatted yesterday, and I like this new start. Clean, clean, clean!!! Well, after I got rid of the Toshiba/AT&T/AOL junk, anyway.

I also changed my s/n. Thus, due to my insistence on consistency, I've gone around and updated everything, so I'm now "achensherd":

AIM: achensherd
Email/MSN: achensherd@hotmail.com
Xanga: http://www.xanga.com/achensherd
Website: http://shardsofeden.com (not activated yet as of this writing)

This Xanga will be replaced shortly, and at least the visual content will be carried over to the new one, as soon as I get Photoshop installed to change the banner.

Okay, take care everyone.

S'ayapo.

This is interesting:

http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=3762

It's a Nerf game that runs on the Unreal Tournament engine. So it's Unreal Tournament with Nerf guns (without modifications, I assume). I'm downloading the demo to see how it plays.

More later.

---

Haha... this game's not bad. The graphics suck, but it's Nerf, so it's cool =^). The guns are rendered pretty nicely, too. You start off with a Secret Shot, and in the demo you can get guns like Ballzookas, Triple Blasts, and Wildfires. You shoot darts (which stick to walls if you miss), balls, and rockets at the other players, and after you hit them enough times, they get "knocked out." Their "death" animation depends on how they "die." If they're knocked out by darts, they'll stand and pout. If they're hit by a rocket from a Triple Blast, they'll fly. However, this isn't reality, so gravity in terms of projectiles (with the exception of the Ballzooka) need not apply.

If you're interested in giving it a shot, you can download the 20MB demo at http://www.nerfarenablast.net. The game's pretty old, and it's not exactly a best-seller, so I don't think there are full version copies out anymore.

Can't beat the real thing =^P.

Saw a commercial selling a music CD for kids called Kids Bop 7, with kids singing modern pop music. The thing is... a good number of the songs on the CD are about breakups and sex, such as Avril Lavigne's "Happy Ending" and Destiny Child's "Lose my Breath." Uhh... this is a CD for kids? The kids on the commercial look like they're in elementary school or junior high. Times have really changed.

Kind of losing interest in Diablo II now. I mean... there really isn't much left to do. Not that my character is "all that," but I don't know what else to do with him. Aside from PvM (constant Baal runs), there's PvP, but I'm not all that interested in losing money and ears. I could create a new character, but to go through all the work of leveling him/her up... *sigh.* I think I might just maintain my character and keep him from expiring, while I move on to something else. Something more skill-related (but not strategy - I'm not that much of a strategy game kind of guy), rather than just leveling and hoarding items.

Here's some of the games I have:

Freespace - beat it - quite difficult
Freespace 2 - not bad, but long and very difficult
The Longest Journey - beat it - REALLY long
Divine Divinity - like Diablo 2 in many ways, but single player only
Homeworld - beat it - can't go back after playing expansion
Homeworld Cataclysm - beat it, but got bored after a while
Homeworld 2 - can't run it
Morrowind series - can't run it - really miss it
Red Alert 2 - it's okay
Unreal Tournament - on my HD, waiting for the next LAN party
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds - kind of a weird Star Wars strategy game
Sub Command - too complicated
No One Lives Forever 2 - can't run it, and gave me motion sickness
Quake II - beat it - 'nough said
Star Trek Armada series - uhh...
Star Trek Elite Force - beat it - gave me motion sickness
Arcanum - too slow
Fallout - too slow and restricted
Fallout 2 - used to be addicted, but single player only got boring after a while
Fallout Tactics - can't be near-invincible as in Fallout 2, so eh
Galactic Civilizations - not sure why I got this
Ground Control - runs too slowly
Escape Velocity Nova -
Diablo - good for nostalgia, but nothing more

I don't really want to play anything single player only. Gets boring real quick, and after beating them, there's nothing more.

*Shrugs.*

Take care everyone.

S'ayapo.

http://www.andysautosport.com/module.php?act=kp&line=98-00%20Corolla%20-%20Combat%20Bomb%20Kit&cid=To98Coroll&brand=AAS

THAT's the body kit I want. Kind of expensive... maybe I can find one off Ebay when the time comes. I don't really like those little air vents on the other body kit (on the front bumper, on the sides). In this case, the hood definitely needs an overhaul (also because my current hood is dinged up). Headlight lids might look cool, too.

Tammy got into a car accident this morning on the way to work. The damage is REALLY bad... thank God she's okay. The entire trunk is just smushed in - she can't get the stuff she had in there out right now. She's going to go back to driving her MR2 until her dad can get her a new car. From what I gather, some guy was merging onto her lane on the freeway and didn't see her. She tried to swerve away, but ended up spinning, and that's when the other car hit her. Ouch.

Paladin at level 88. I keep finding stuff that I can't use, and they're not all that bad, either. The Amazon stuff I can't even wield, but there's this ogre maul called Windhammer that has some sweet damage and very fast attack. If only I had the strength for it... just for kicks. My stuff are on three mules - one for items, one for gems, and one for runes.

I think I might have screwed up on calculating how much dexterity I needed to achieve max block. I have 142 base dexterity, and with only 10 points in holy shield I can get up to 75%. It was supposed to take 20 points in holy shield to achieve that, but this ain't bad. I guess now I have some ten points left to either finish maxing out holy shield (for the sake of completion) or put into another skill (like charge, which might come in handy after they fix it from locking up).

I'm in the process of making a Bone Necromancer right now. Takes a little getting used to (not as combat-adept as a Paladin), but starting off a Hammerdin wasn't a walk in the park either (whaddaya mean no zeal??).

Got a haircut yesterday... look like I got out of the army. A lot less maintenance now - I didn't quite like trying to keep my hair from 'froing. Tammy likes it, so I think I might stay with this look.

Take care everyone.

S'ayapo.
